The Petition of we the Subscribers Humbly Sheweth, that whereas it hath been the u[n]hapy fate of William Strother and Oliver Wallace to be Convicted of Horse Stealing and to be under sentance of Death for the Same; And for as much as it is the first misdemeanour that Either of them have been Suspected to [be] guilty of, and being fully perswaded of their Penitence and sincere Contrition do most Humbly beg leave to Recommend them to the Mercy of your Excellency and Pray that you will grant them A Reprieve; And your petitioners as in Duty bound
