Biographical Description

Thomas Barecock was born in about 1743 and was a resident of Pasquotank Precinct, North Carolina by 1679. In 1698 he served on a jury that acquitted Charles, an American Indian man, of theft. Later in 1700 Barecock sold a pig to Tom Harriss, an American Indian man, and later helped Harriss recover the pig after it escaped. Barecock died in Pasquotank in January 1722.
