Batchlear, Richard

Biographical Description

Richard Batchlear was born in Virginia in about 1674. A resident of colonial North Carolina by 1697, in 1704 he and several other colonists near present-day Bath submitted a petition against the Mattamuskeet. Geneaological records suggest this individual died in Chowan Precinct, North Carolina in 1720.
