Smith, Charles

Biographical Description

Charles Smith settled in colonial North Carolina by 1704. That year he and several other colonists near present-day Bath submitted a petition against the Mattamuskeet American Indian Nation. He later resided in Hyde Precinct, North Carolina and died in Beaufort in about 1738.
