Biographical Description

Absalom Locus was born in North Carolina in about 1789. A free person of color, he was abducted by a group of white men from his family home in Wake County, North Carolina in early October 1801 along with his younger sister Polly, but they managed to escape and return to their parents. He died sometime after 1811.
