Biographical Description

Sarah Bonner was a resident of Chowan County and married Nathaniel Howcutt sometime before November 1753. She survived her husband's death in 1772 and in 1774 she and her daughter signed a nonimportation agreement that later became known as the Edenton Tea Party Resolves. She died sometime after the signing, but no will or estate papers have not been located.
