Biographical Description
James Riley Padgett, born on August 25, 1885, was a lifelong resident of Black Mountain (Buncombe County). Padgett spent his early career working as a carpenter and farmer. By 1930, he was working as a real estate broker. He died in Asheville in February 13, 1960.
