BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS
OF THE
STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
ASHEVILLE, N.C.
May 9, 1913
To his Excellency:
Governor Locke Craig
Raleigh
N.C.
My dear Governor:-
I am enclosing you herewith copy of letters as follows: First; a letter received from Dr. Hardy requesting information as to whether or not our Board should borrow money. This letter was also received by Mr. Austin, and Dr. Kent, members of the Board, and there is a possibility that it is intended as a "Round Robin" by which he intends to construe that the Board has given him authority to borrow money.
Second; copy of Dr. Kent's answer to Dr. Hardy's letter as mentioned above.
Third; copy of my answer to same.
Fourth; copy of my letter to Mr. Austin when writing about same.
I am sending this correspondence for your information so that you may know how things are going.
Everything is lovely here now and we cannot tell we have ever had a strike. Everyone appreciates your kindly offices without which the strike would not have yet been settled.
Sincerely yours,
