THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA
CHAPEL HILL
OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
11 September 1915
My dear Governor:
I am enclosing a letter in reference to Mount Mitchell that I have just received. It may contain some points of interest to the State. There is a tradition here that the University had a title to five acres on top of Mount Mitchell.
You will be glad to know that the registration at the close of today's work is a thousand and fifty-two. Everything else connected with the opening is equally gratifying.
With good wishes to all of your family,
Faithfully yours,
Edward K Graham
President
Governor Locke Craig,
Raleigh, North Carolina.
Enclosure: 1915, Sept. 9. Smith to Graham.
