Subject; Arrest of Enlisted man AWOL.
1. On December 5, 1917 I wrote to the Chief of Police of Mt. Airy, N.C., asking him to arrest Private Oliver Martin of this battery for being absent without leave since November 17, 1917.
2. I am enclosing the reply which he sent me. He has not been arrested at this date.
3. Please investigate.
