Biographical Description
Charles Henry Phillips was born on March 15, 1866, in Alamance County, North Carolina. Phillips was a superintendent for the L. Banks Holt Manufacturing Company in Graham. In 1920, he provided testimony in an investigation into an attempted lynching in that town. He died in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 16, 1927.
