Biographical Description

Grace Clayton was a signer of a nonimportation agreement in 1774 that later became known as the Edenton Tea Party Resolves. No further records related to Grace Clayton have been located, so it is unknown whether or not Clayton was her married name, and the location of her signature on the resolves may indicate she was related to either the Johnston or Hall families.
