Martha Montgomery was born in North Carolina in about 1782. A resident of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, she attended the same church as Susanna Alexander. In 1851 she made a sworn affidavit in support of Alexander's widows pension claim stating that she knew Alexander was married to a revolutionary war veteran. She died in about 1860.
