Biographical Description
Lucy Davis Haywood Bryan was born in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina on June 15, 1805. The daughter of a wealthy plantation owner and state senate clerk, she married John Stevens Bryan in 1829 and the couple had at least seven children. She died in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina on December 27, 1885.
