Biographical Description
Annie Lewis (née Hinton) was born in North Carolina on December 15, 1832. A resident of Raleigh, her father was the state treasurer and she preumably attended St. mary's School. She frequently went to church with the Cotten family. Hinton married John W. Lewis in 1855 in Wake County. She died in North Carolina on June 24, 1857.
