Beulah Verl Thompson (née Clapp) was born on November 8, 1901, in Guilford County, North Carolina. She married John Osbon Thompson in 1937. In 1920, she provided testimony in an investigation into an attempted lynching in Alamance County. She was a longtime resident of Graham, North Carolina, at which place she worked in a textile mill for many years. Thompson died in Burlington, North Carolina on January 29, 1985.
