Biographical Description
William Rowan Absher was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina, in 1865. Absher was a department store proprietor in North Wilkesboro who served as principal of the North Wilkesboro school. He died in Charlotte (Mecklenburg County) on August 19, 1941.
