Biographical Description
George Badger McLeod was born in Lumberton (Robeson County), North Carolina, on June 22, 1860. McLeod was a banker, manufacturer, and public official who served as sheriff of Robeson County (1895-1897) and senator in the state legislature (1913, 1915, & 1927). He died in Lee County, Florida, on January 1, 1943.
