Biographical Description
Thomas Caney "Cousin Caney" Brown was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina on March 21, 1838. Brown was a farmer and merchant who served as chairman of the board of county commissioners for Buncombe from 1896 to 1898. He died in Asheville on January 25, 1916.
