Declaration
In order to obtain the benefit of the act of Congress passed the 7th June 1832—

Johnston County}
On this 4th January 1845, personally appeared before the Subscriber an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said county Mrs Mourning Davis who having been duly sworn according ^to law^ doth on her oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the act of Congress passed the 7th June 1832—That she is the widow of John Davis a Soldier of the Revolutionary War, that and has been allowed a pension of $80 per annum as the widow of said John Davis which pension commenced on the 9th of November 1831, being the day of his death, she therefore makes this application in order to obtain the arrears due up to that time—
