Replying to your recent favor, as well as to the one previously received, I will ask you to let me know:

1. What style of memorial you suggest for the monument in memory of Dr Elisha Mitchell to be erected on the summit of Mt. Mitchell; i.e general style, size & materials to be used.

2. Probable cost of same.

3. Whether you have been on Mt Mitchell.
