The Elisha Mitchell Scientific Society will have a meeting the first of next week. I wish, if possible, you would write me a letter to be presented to the Society, suggesting that they take up the question of assisting in the raising of funds for the Mitchell Statute. I have a few copies left of your pamphlet which I can distribute to some of the members of the Society. If you have ten more copies to spare I wish you would send them to me as I could probably use them to advantage.
