Dear Sir:
I am rushed with work that is coming up before the General Assembly, and it is impossible for me to write anything on the situation that you refer to in your letter of December 25th. However, if you will direct the author, Emerson Hough, to consult the files of the Greensboro Daily News and get a full account of my trip to Ashe County, and the speech that I made there, he will have my views in the very fullest manner before him. It will be impossible for me to restate these views with as much force and thoroughness as at that time.
Sincerely yours,
Governor.
