My dear Governor:- I am very much interested in your experience with certain Ku Klux Klan organizers. Some months ago you were instrumental in driving some fellow out of the state; I think he came from Texas. I would like to have the facts about that case. I wrote you for them two weeks ago but fear you did not get my letter. In the World of a week ago I had a Ku Klux Klan story, and am sending you a copy of it. It seems to me that this movement is loaded, for the wrong crowd may get hold of it, and make trouble. Please send me, or see that I get a report on the experience you had with some outsiders.
With best wishes for you and yours, I am,
Yours cordially,
